It sounds pretty good, right? Being a millionaire at 29 and living in your own home for free. No rent and certainly no mortgage. I mean, it’s possible if you pay for it in cash outright I suppose or have your parents buy it for you but that isn’t the story that I’m sharing here with you.
This is no ordinary 29-year-old who had assistance from his parent’s wealth to by into the market or got lucky buying Bitcoin in 2010. No, this is the tale of a man who lives frugally, worked smart and started investing in real estate and now has his tenants pay for his livings costs.
What this man did and still does, if you check out his YouTube channel with 1.65 million subscribers you can see for yourself, is buy real estate at a good price and create a long-term positive geared income through them.
Furthermore, Graham Stephan looks out for real estate with more than one unit on in, or a tri-plex as he calls it. Here, he lives in one and rents out the others at a profit. The profit then covers his portion of the overall mortgage and thus, he lives in his own home for free.
Stephan then uses the equity he earns from paying down the loan and through the fact that property markets have increased, which is why you need to make sure you snap up a good deal, to then invest in more positive-geared real estate.
You can check out the full video in either the link or the video below, which tells you more-in-depth how Stephan invests in real estate and how he does so through his own savings: https://youtu.be/PobcKgC2QFg?list=PLPdoRGhsS-tuA2NCFXV9xpEJbXUoAIFQL
